Much of the basic melee system amounts to holding RB and injecting other button presses into the resulting attack string, kinda like an MMORPG's auto-attacks being punctuated by active skills. Our reading

ThreadDid Crimson Desert Ruin any other game for you like it did for me?
CD has been a welcome bit of fresh air in that regard - whilst its combat is significantly inferior to DD - there is just so much content to explore, systems to engage in and cool enemies/bosses to fight that it really feels a lot more rewarding to play.

ThreadAm i the only one still quite bummed they never fixed the firearms positions on Kliff's back?
It’s also annoying mid boss fight when Kliff pulls his shield out and goes into cutscene then you have to wait about 3-5 seconds for him to switch back once it’s done.

ThreadIf you could decide for *one thing* to be added with the DLC, what would it be?
All one handed weapon types for Kliff and Oongka are basically the same with just slight animation changes.

DD2 does big enemy combat better but fighting mobs in CD is way more fun.

ThreadLost my motivation/purpose around 30 hours
I'll get into a good rhythm of exploration, but then I'll enter a major city or boss battle where I just cannot tolerate how bad it feels to play on a mechanical level.

ThreadThe little Moments Like This Is Why I Think CD Has One of the Best Combat Systems Out Right Now.

ThreadThe little Moments Like This Is Why I Think CD Has One of the Best Combat Systems Out Right Now.
If you take the time to learn the combos and how they chain together the combat is truly unique and complex compared to other open world games.

ThreadKeyboard+Mouse is actually the superior option in this game
nah I just canceled out of it, because the bowshot would kick you back away from your enemy.

ThreadCrimson Desert is an amazing game, but it has to possibly have some of the worst film grain and ghosting I’ve ever seen…
Combat and exploration are this game’s strengths, and the main story only gets in the way.

ThreadElectro-Mecha Spear
I need to grab this out of my toy chest and actually use it, I LOVE the way spears play but always stuck with my sword because it was upgraded all the way.

I get it that this game is not that BUT the dodge and parry seems unusually clunky still.

i feel like this game deserves massive recognition for the combat system its a really amazing, new interpretation of a combo brawler
