Terms of use
By using Takes you accept these terms and the YouTube Terms of Service. Last updated 25 Oct 2026.
What Takes is
Takes is a free, unofficial fan project, run as an individual’s project. It counts what players say about games in public posts on Reddit, Steam and YouTube and shows the quotes behind each number. There is no account and nothing to buy.
Read it as evidence, not advice
The side next to each quote is our reading of the player’s words, made by a language model, and it can be wrong. Counts cover the posts Takes collected, not every player. Takes is offered as it is, without a promise that it is complete, correct or always available.
Players’ words
Every quote belongs to the player who wrote it and stays under the terms of the platform it came from. If you wrote something quoted here, Request removal. We reply within 7 days and remove quoted words within 7 days of a request.
YouTube
Takes uses YouTube API Services. By using Takes you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of YouTube data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Unofficial
Takes is not affiliated with the games’ publishers, Reddit, Valve or Google. Game names, Reddit, Steam and YouTube are trademarks of their owners.
Changes and questions
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. How Takes handles data is on Privacy; questions go to Contact.
